Morning Light

Just gotta love the light in the early AM

TODAY- June 29th

One thing i really love in NYC are the watertowers. I have been fortunate to have a few offices that either looked out on, or sat beneath watertowers.

My office now in SoHo i think will hold a favorite view for me, every sunset is different, but the silhouette stays the say

June 29th 2010 NYC

- The Arashi Dive Site, Aruba -

As some of you might now, i have taken up Scuba Diving.

I never thought i would be doing this….but am really enjoying it…REALLY

But i have found out a dilemma, as a photographer i FEEL like i should be capturing the experience

but in doing that i loose the actual experience. I have vowed to rarely take my camera down.

In the meantime i will be posting a few images and video from my recent dives in Aruba

ARUBA from below…more to come

Recently my lovely girlfriend surprised me and took me to ARUBA to go diving for the week of my birthday

Here is one of her photos of me down below.

Soon i will be posting additional still images and video i took.

Sugar Daddy & (DJ) Maderia in da TERRACE

Last night Les and i were invited to join some of the rcent grads from the Somelier class offered by the International Wine Center.

Our friend Diana graciously hosted us on her minuscule terrace,

“Sugar Daddy” donated a fine bottle of 1963 Port – interesting to see a cork that is 47 years old-

(DJ) Madeira donated a fine bottle of Madeira wine to follow.

Good folks, Good wine, Good Fun

10 guests – 10 bottles of wine – 10 minutes late to the office

nicknames were developed after bottle #5:)

Danial Merriweather @ Sotheby’s

We had the great pleasure of a private concert hosted by The Artist Den. There guest for the evening was Daniel Merriweather and the gracious host was Sotheby’s.  Mark Lieberman, Founder of  The Artists Den started this wonderful organization supporting established and emerging musicians.  I started going to their shows about 3-4 years ago and they have expanded out into a great thing.  They have partnered up with PBS who regularly airs the concert series.  Its shot wonderfully and they always have great artists. Looking forward to the next show

PS we also had the opportunity to browse through the current auction items, this concert was an event to kick off The Contemporary Art Auction. So we were able to see Rothkos, Alexander Calders, Picasso’s, Warhols, Vik Muñez and more, what a delight

Treated Like a KING compliments of the QUEEN

So last night a group of us who have helped in the evolution of The Regal Vegan (AKA Ella Nemcova) were treated to massages and acupuncture.  Her Friends at the Brooklyn Acupuncture Project hosted us, and had us experience the wonderful healing powers of each service. David Schiller, i was told had hands of gold…..and come to find out he does.  I have never had a better massage than this, now i can’t remember the specific name of it…but if you ask him for the “Marmalade” treatment, he will certainly know what you mean, it has nothing to do with the JAM, but you will feel like buttered toast ready for some marmalade:)  Now not to get to into my health…i have had back & joint problems for years now (maybe old age setting in “early” or the fact i have carried far too many heavy cases of equipment for shoots:) ah what we do for our passion) but i digress…i have to say after the sessions with David & Sarah i was a new person! NEVER had this before, so definitely can’t wait to get back!

Now the Brooklyn Acupuncture Project was started by Sarah Chase, as a way to get all folks experience this ancient art.  She offers sessions on a sliding pay scale, check it out, sessions can be as low as $18!

Now Ella provided the nourishment that keep us going. Champagne, Wines, Homemade Kombucha Tea, her ever famous FAUX GRAS on toasts and rolled into tiny edible morsels with cherries and nuts, delectable!

Gallery Opening- Street Art Inside

Paul- the new rockstar intern and i went to a gallery opening in SoHo

a majority of the art was ahhh so so but wanted to share a few of the ones i liked. i didn’t get a listing of which artist did what (SORRY:( so i cannot give proper credit.  But the bummer was that the party got closed down early- fire marshalls apparently, and this place wasn’t even crowded

REALLY!?Word to the Party promoter, “When you have artwork selling for 10K, might be who of you to get the proper permits to have an opening, bummer for the exhibiting artists
